The College of Natural Sciences is the home of the basic mathematical, physical, chemical, biological, and earth-environmental sciences at Seoul National University. We are proud to be a vibrant scientific community that has emerged as a premier center of education and research in Korea. We are proud of our students, our alumni, our staff s, 3 and our faculty. We have produced scientists of world renown in all the branches of basic sciences. We are leaders of the scientific communities in Korea and continue to make every effort to be a world premier center of research.
In the 21st century, we shall seek to be an institution generating and disseminating knowledge in the basic sciences for the enrichment of the physical, economic, and intellectual well-being of our nation and the world. We promise to advance the frontiers of knowledge in the mathematical, physical, chemical, biological, and earth-environmental sciences; providing access to a rich educational experience that will motivate and enable all of our students to seek the highest levels of intellectual achievement and personal growth; and sharing our knowledge, discoveries, and inventions with the people of our nation, and the world.
